Production delocaIization from Gennany to Poland within the process of EU integration

Abstract

In the age of progressive globalization there is a new phenomenon in European Union observed. It is the interest of the EU countries in direct investment in other countries. The process is called: „production delocalization" and concerns changes in production fragmentation and thus inlluences transformations in the structures of the economies. It must be emphasized that relocation of industry, services, etc. has been present in the world economies for many years. It is obvious that it is caused by increasing competition and is related to the necessity of cutting production costs. The aim of this dissertation is the analysis of the delocalization problem in the enlarged European Union. The author is looking for the reasons behind this process. Consequences of the outflow of direct investment streams from Germany into Poland are diseussed in the dissertation.
