Resourced based factors of competitive potential and economic results of SKOKs

Magdalena Rajchelt

Abstract

The subject of the doctoral dissertation is the competitiveness SKOK on the Polish financial services market. The analysis of their working has led to the conclusion that they are competing against other providers of financial market, and that increasingly represent a competition to each other. The main objective of the doctoral dissertation was a theoretical explanation of the relationship between resourced-based factors of competitive potential and economical results of the company and examination of that relationship in SKOKs based on the results of one’s own empirical studies. To achieve the objectives and examinate the hypotheses of the study a method of analysis and criticism of literature and the method of questionnaire were applied. For the analysis of the data collected in the test procedures, the author used descriptive methods based on the results of descriptive statistics, transformation of raw data and statistical inference rank nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test. Results achieved in empirical studies negatively verified the main hypothesis saying that intangible and tangible resourced-based factors of competitive potential differentiate the economical results of SKOKs. The results of empirical studies also showed that resourced-based factors of competitive potential held by credit unions that differentiate their economical results are physical resources, technology resources and knowledge resources.
