Institutions of real estate agents’ markets in Poland after 1989

Abstract

Property markets were stimulated after the release of the economy after 1989 and were vulnerable to new regulations coming from abroad. New professions have been settled, which so far had neither the tradition nor legal regulations in polish law system. Analysis of real estate agents’ institutions will be conducted. It will be carried out using tools of the new institutional economics, and in particular the definition of institutions, transaction costs theory and theories of group activities and agency. Polish professional environments have been associated with their counterparts from abroad, in particular from the United States of America. It will be shown a path dependence of regulating the formation of the context of the occupation in Poland in the nineties. Then characterized professional organizations operating in markets for real estate agents.
