Problems of evaluation the economic efficiency of the use of non-forest biomass and municipal waste to produce energy

Abstract

In order to verily the main hypothesis, related to that the use of municipal waste to energy production is more economical effective than the use of non-forest biomass; was made a multidimensional analysis of using different potential fuels ]in the power industry. Legal aspects have shown the existing imperfections in the national regulations of qualification the potential fuel; if it is a fuel or waste. At the same time confirming one of the auxiliary hypotheses saying that the existing law regulations restrict the use of biodegradable waste by the power industry (as a biomass). The third chapter provides an analysis of possibility of energy use of the different materials. The expanded formula of economical efficiency use in aspect of social and environment impact confirmed another auxiliary hypothesis stating that the use of non-forest biomass, taking into account external costs is unprofitable. Description of existing technology in Europe and the trial of implementation the proposed solutions to the existing power plant indicates that the auxiliary hypothesis, saying the existence of technical solutions linking with mumc;r¿ waste management system with the requirements of microeconomic account has been confirmed. Used the expanded economic efficiency assessment methodology based on cost - benefits analysis leads to the conclusions of the dissertation that main thesis is true.
