The Concept of Minimizing Master Data in The Production Planning Process on The Example of ERP Software

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to show the possibilities of reducing master data in the production process and improving their quality on the example of SAP software: S4HANA. The created model was implemented in a large production company and allowed for a significant improvement in the efficiency of managing the master data used in production planning. The author presents the possibility of a significant reduction in the labor consumption of creating and managing the basic data of semi-finished products, routings and bill of materials. Thanks to the use the object dependency, and production planning based on product characteristics, the number of data has been reduced many times.
