AbstractTechnological progress and changing customer needs are the main determinants that force companies to launch new products whose life cycles are constantly getting shorter. This is a big challenge for modern supply chains, where the organization flow and integration of information systems are becoming increasingly difficult. Presented issue raises the research question: how supply chain for new products launched to the market should be organized? To answer this question is the purpose of the paper, which will present the organization of materials, products and information flows in the supply chains on the example of fashion industry for new products launched to the market. In this paper, case studies of four leading European supply chains of clothes manufacturers will be analyzed and results of a study conducted on the sample of 122 supply chains, among them 11 from the apparel industry, will be presented
