Intuitionistic Fuzzy Synthetic Measure as A Method of Employee Satisfaction Benchmarking
AbstractThe satisfaction of employees is one of the key determinants of the effectiveness of an enterprise, thus it is often the subject of measurement and benchmarking. The result of measurement and comparative analysis of the satisfaction of employees is the basis for making management-oriented decisions and as such they should be properly designed and conducted. The article proposes the method of benchmarking the satisfaction of employees while utilizing an intuitionistic fuzzy synthetic measure. This method allows for the inclusion of the degree of uncertainty in the evaluation of each aspect related to work satisfaction. The utility of the proposed method has been presented through an analysis of the results of the study of the satisfaction of employees conducted in an international enterprise from the automotive industry. The analysis includes the opinion of 323 employees from 18 departments. The results of the analysis indicated a large differentiation in the level of satisfaction of employees with regards to the assumed benchmark.
