Abstract

We have analysed the relationship between hospitals’ profitability ratios and debt. We have used data covering financial information from 333 hospitals (V4 group). The data was obtained from Amadeus-database. Methods used: ANOVA, t-Student test. We have found that contrary to the pecking order theory hospitals with low profitability show smaller use of debt in financing, which can limit access to both equity and debt capital
