Tempo wzrostu sektora handlu internetowego w Polsce w latach 2010–2016: analiza porównawcza

Abstract

The business sector of e-commerce is being shown as one of the most dynamic in the economy. The author decided to verify this positive image of the e-commerce sector in Poland by analyzing statistical data on the change in the number of enterprises in the years 2010–2016. The aim of the paper is to verify the positive state of e-commerce sector in Poland by analyzing the dynamics of the number of companies in the e-commerce sector, traditional trade and the total number of all registered companies, as well as an analysis of the correlation between the change in the number of companies in the sector of e-commerce and the estimated growth rate of turnover of e-commerce businesses. Conducted analyses confirmed that the e-commerce sector was very dynamic. For the analyzed sector mid-term rate of change in years 2010–2016 is taking out +2.41%, towards +0.28% for all enterprises and +0.045% for the traditional trade. The correlation analysis also indicated a strong relationship between the dynamics of growth companies and the turnover volume
